Digitalization of the periodicals of Mekitarist Monastery of Vienna. Presentation of first phase results

Abstract

In 2019 digitization of the Armenian newspapers and periodicals being preserved in the Mekhitarist Monastery of Vienna started. The purpose of this article is to summarize the results of the project's first stage. During project realization the main focus has been made on having high quality digital copies of the periodicals, to the peculiarities of construction of the bibliographic database and on developing flexible search and indexing algorithms.
