The bibliography in the digital era. Art of translation

Abstract

Starting from the end of the 20th century, along with the development of information technologies, electronic databases became primary as original bibliographic sources. The principles of bibliographic description in databases did not undergo significant changes, but due to the information search system, the databases surpassed traditional bibliographic lists. The purpose of the article is to emphasize the role and importance of databases in the collection and delivery of information.
Within the framework of the study, we referred to the features of creating databases, the flexible search system and the content layers. As a private example, we have considered the work of creating and coordinating the "The Art of Translation" database.
