Trends and Perspectives in the Development of Digital Libraries in Armenia 2015–2025

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the main trends in the development of digital libraries in Armenia during 2015–2025, analyze the factors driving these changes, reveal the strengths and gaps of the sector, and outline future directions for development. To achieve this objective, we examined international experience and standards related to the establishment of digital libraries, presented the process of digital library development in Armenia, and compared the strategies of the National Library of Armenia, the Fundamental Scientific Library, and the Yerevan State University library in the field of digital library development, highlighting both their similarities and differences.
