The Herald of the Armenian Library Association is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing scholarly understanding of libraries, library management, book printing and other related fields in both theoretical and empirical dimensions. More detailed the purpose of the journal is:
● to refer to the problems in the library system,
● to value the role of libraries in public life,
● to present achievements in the LIS field,
● to emphasize the role and mission of regional, community, university libraries,
●to present new findings in the field of book printing,
● to introduce recent advances in LIS worldwide,
● to introduce activities of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
The journal gives a floor for high-quality research that shed the light on the aforementioned issues.
The journal welcomes original research articles and notes in the following areas:

The Herald of the Armenian Library Association is accepting the original research articles and notes. No multiple or redundant publications are allowed.
Only those individuals who have made substantial intellectual contributions to the study—such as its conception, design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation—qualify for authorship. Authors are expected to participate in the preparation or critical revision of the manuscript, approve the final version, and take public responsibility for its content.
All issues and articles of the Herald of the Armenian Library Association are presented also in the Pan-Armenian Digital Library (arar.sci.am).
Each submitted article undergoes a rigorous double-blind peer review, on the basis of which the editorial board makes a decision on publication.
Notes are not subject to peer review.
The authors hold the copyright to their work and retain all associated rights without restriction.
The Herald of the Armenian Library Association is an open access journal that provides immediate and free access to all published content. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles without financial, legal, or technical barriers, and without prior permission from the publisher or the authors.
The journal has implemented an open access policy since its foundation.
All articles published in the Herald of the Armenian Library Association are distributed under the Creative Common CC BY 4.0 International License. Details of the license are indicated on the respective article web pages and are also included in the full text of all published articles.
No fees are charged to authors at any stage of the publication process, including submission, peer review, editorial handling, or publication.
