The "Edgarian" Collection Of The Fundamental Scientific Library Of NAS RA

Abstract

The goal of this research is to present the "Edgaryan" collection of the Fundamental Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, to value it in the context of the study of Armenian printed heritage and to make it the property of the public. The need and opportunity for the study of the building arose especially after it was moved to another building. The employees of the library, under the leadership of the head of the sub-department Hasmik Ghazaryan, carried out cleaning and maintenance works, while recording the technical data of each unit. This research became possible after those preparatory works, for which we express our gratitude.
Taking into account that there are currently very few similar works, we can assure that this research can become a basis for new studies.
