The article aims to present the activities and strategic significance of the Fundamental Scientific Library of NAS RA in the fields of science, education, and culture since its establishment. The following objectives have been set: to outline the main stages in the library’s historical formation and development; to analyze the transformation of its functions within the contemporary information environment; to highlight the value of the library’s collections; and comprehensively examine its bibliographic activities in the formation of Armenian studies databases. It is emphasized that the Fundamental Scientific Library has long since moved beyond the boundaries of a classical library and has evolved into a multifunctional platform for the creation, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge.
We believe that this article will help draw the attention of the scholarly community to the library as a key institution of national scientific thought, cultural memory, and international communication.
